Our Pink Rescue Buoy project is an effort to provide suitable flotation so that anyone who goes to the aid of a drowning in progress, can provide essential flotation for the casualty and the rescuer. These aids are for use by the community and are funded by the community.Once used, the Pink Rescue Buoy should be returned to its post. These pictures illustrate how the buoy should hang.
The harness on the Pink Rescue Buoy should be attached so that the rope does not come loose and hang on the ground. The harness should be put through the handle that the buoy hangs on and then around (below) the rope so that the rope can not slip down the buoy and fall off.
If we can all check the buoys when we see them we will have quite an force supporting this project.
