On Friday 11 September, the day before a teenager drowned at Camps Bay, teachers and pupils from Nkqubela Primary school in Robertson visited Camps Bay beach. The excited children ran straight down to the waters edge - unaware that the place they had chosen was at a rip current. Spotted by Sea Rescue crew, who knew that they were in a dangerous place, they were moved to safety.Today, WaterWise Instructor,Eoudia Erasmus, visited the school and taught both pupils and teachers about the dangers of the sea, rip currents and how to do bystander CPR.The principal, Mr Ngonuama, and his staff were most impressed with the lesson and thankful that the children now know a little more about water safety. You can read the original report here.WaterWise Eoudia005WaterWise EoudiaWaterWise Eoudia03
