Sea Rescue – Durban – 27 December, 2010: Search for missing manAn extensive air, sea and shore search has been launched at Princess Grant, Stanger, for a male missing and presumed to have drowned in the surf.NSRI Durban, the Discovery Surf Rescue helicopter, the SA Police Service and Lifesaving SA lifeguards were activated at 14h28 following reports of a drowning in progress.On arrival on-scene an extensive search commenced for a 23 year old man, from Stanger, missing in the surf.A police helicopter joined in the search and a Police search and Rescue team have been activated to join in the search.The body of the man later washed up on the beach at Princess Grant Beach, Stanger.Police have opened an inquest docket.
