Sea Rescue – Port Elizabeth and Melkbosstrand – 26th December, 2010:Port Elizabeth:NSRI Port Elizabeth volunteers and Emergency Services responded to Willows Gate 5 beach following reports of a drowning accident.On arrival on-scene paramedics attempted to resuscitate a male aged approximately 20, from Port Elizabeth, and after all efforts to resuscitate the man were exhausted he was declared dead.Police have opened an inquest docket.Melkbosstrand:At 19h49 NSRI Melkbosstrand volunteers launched a sea rescue craft following eye-witness reports of a kite-surfer in difficulty off shore of Melkbosstrand.The kite-surfer was brought safely ashore.
