PLETTENBERG BAY:A female assisted after suffering an injury in a fall.Ross Badenhorst, NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty coxswain, said:At 06h18, Wednesday, 30 September, NSRI Plettenberg Bay medical crew were activated following reports of a female fallen and injured at Look Out Rocks, Robberg.We dispatched our NSRI sea rescue vehicle and our NSRI sea rescue ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) and Medlife ambulance services were activated.On arrival on the scene we treated a female, aged in her 60's, for injuries sustained in a fall.We secured the lady into a rescue stretcher and carried her to Look Out Beach car park where she was taken into the care of paramedics and she has been transported to hospital by Medlife ambulance in a stable condition.GORDONS BAY:A RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) has been prevented from sinking in the old harbour.Alan Meiklejohn, NSRI Gordons Bay station commander, said:At 09h20, Wednesday, 30 September, NSRI Gordons Bay duty crew were activated by the following reports of a RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) unmanned and taking water at her mooring in Gordons Bay harbour.NSRI crew responded to the scene where the casualty craft was stabilised and re-floated and we assisted to recover the craft onto her trailer and no further assistance was required.
