Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct outbound calls to prospective donors.
Persuade potential donors to donate and support the NSRI
Follow-up on existing and previous donors for potential support.
Utilise CRM and data entry.
Achieve targets and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Build donor relationships.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or similar environment.
Proficient in English / other languages an advantage
Basic computer skills.
Persistent with sales and results driven.
Excellent time management.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
Problem solving skills with ability to handle objections.

NSRI Port Alfred duty crew were activated following a request for urgent assistance from a commercial fishing vessel reporting that they were diverting to respond towards a ski-boat, with 2 local men onboard, that was reporting to be taking on water and at risk of sinking approximately 5 nautical miles southwest of Port Alfred.

NSRI Shelly Beach duty crew were activated following a call from the Sonny Evan Small Craft Harbour reporting a medical emergency on a fishing charter boat at sea in the vicinity of Protea Banks and the vessel heading towards Shelly Beach.

At 12h58, Thursday, 14 May, NSRI Jeffreys Bay were activated following reports of 2 men trapped on a island (of a downed tree and debris) in the middle of the Gamtoos River, near to Patensie, Eastern Cape.

At 08h52, Friday, 15 May, NSRI St Helena Bay duty crew were activated following an urgent request for medical assistance for a medical emergency onboard a fishing vessel at sea offshore of St Helena Bay and the vessel heading towards St Helena Bay.

At 12h02 on Friday, 15 May, National Sea Rescue Institute Station 14 Plettenberg Bay duty crew were activated following concerns for the safety of a woman and her dogs who appeared to be trapped on Robberg Beach by the incoming high tide.

At 11h02, Saturday, 16 May, NSRI Strandfontein duty crew were activated following eyewitness reports of a drowning in progress at Monwabisi Beach.
