Orca whale found beached at Melkbosstrand.At 14h35 Sea Rescue Melkbosstrand volunteers were activated following eye-witness reports of a 3 metre juvenile Orca whale beached and lying, dead, next to the river mouth in Melkbosstrand.“On arrival on-scene it was confirmed that the whale was dead and lying on the beach and the Department of Environment – Oceans and Coasts, Disaster Management, the SA Police Services and Law Enforcement officers were activated.The whale carcass was removed from the scene by a Municipal team and transported to laboratories where Marine Scientist held an autopsy.
