Police are continuing in an ongoing search for a missing 26 year old man along the Durban beachfront.
At 18h29, Monday, 16 December, NSRI Durban duty crew and the KZN Surf Rescue Network were activated following reports by eyewitnesses to NSRI EOC (Emergency Operations Centre) of a drowning in progress at the beach, South of Blue Lagoon, Durban.
Police Search and Rescue and Metro Police Search and Rescue conducted search efforts during a severe thunderstorm for the 26 year old male who was reported to be missing in the surf zone.
Police Search and Rescue and Metro Police Search and Rescue, assisted by NSRI Durban and eThekwini lifeguards, continued ongoing search efforts on Tuesday, 17 December.
The search efforts for the missing man are ongoing.
