A search is ongoing at Scottburgh Point Main Beach, KZN South Coast, where a man is reported missing.
Kevin Fourie, NSRI Rocky Bay station commander, said:
NSRI Rocky Bay, Umdoni lifeguards and IPSS Search and Rescue assisted Police Search and Rescue at Scottburgh Point Main Beach on Tuesday morning, where a 21 year old male, from aMahlongwa, reportedly went missing in the water at around 19h00 on Monday, 27 January.
An NSRI Rocky Bay crewman had raised the alarm following eyewitness reports.
The SA Police Services and Police Search and Rescue were alerted.
On Tuesday morning a Police helicopter joined in an extensive air, sea and shoreline search, where Police divers, assisted by NSRI Rocky Bay, Umdoni lifeguards and IPSS Search and Rescue, continued in ongoing search efforts.
Police divers are continuing in an ongoing search.
